I wanted to make a statement right from the get to this year. Start the way I want the year to go. A huge part of that is having my camera in hand as much as possible. Saying yes to going out that little bit further for a shoot. For the first time in two weeks, the sky turned into a canvas of pale apricot and peach, unfettered by a thick blanket of cloud. I simply chased the sun, it’s dappled light, and of course some delightful cows along the way.

I had to go back to one of my favourite haunts for my first shoot of the year.

A lone ranger on the fields of Breamlea as the sun went down on the first year day of the new decade

A black beauty basking in the warmth of the first sunset of the year.

I’ve always been hesitant when it comes to making goals at the beginning of a new year. So I’ll make an intention instead. I’m just going to create more and more, it doesn’t make who for or for what purpose. I just want to create, learn and practice and just keep doing that.

A quick pull over on the side of the road to capture, yep, another cow.

How lucky these cows are to live in such a beautiful setting

The look you get when you’ve interrupted dinner!

Hope you all enjoy 2020, are gentle with yourselves, and create more this year than you ever have!

Much Love
